Expect Brief Delays on Downing Bridge and Norris Bridge for Maintenance Work
FREDERICKSBURG – Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews will be cleaning two bridges linking the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula in late September, requiring mostly overnight lane closures.
Bridge cleaning helps to protect structures by removing dirt and debris that can contribute to deterioration.
Lane closures have been scheduled on Route 3 over the Rappahannock River between Lancaster and Middlesex counties, and on Route 360 over the Rappahannock River between Richmond County and the Town of Tappahannock. Details include:

On Tuesday, Sept. 22, between 9 a.m. and noon on Norris Bridge, VDOT crews will make a spot repair following recent minor damage from a suspected vehicle strike.
